PINKSTIX originated from humble beginnings, when a group of young women decided to paint a set of drumsticks pink as a joke. Since percussion and drums were male-dominated instruments at the time, it was empowering to add such a vibrant female touch. Soon, every stick and mallet was painted hot pink and caught the attention of many spectators that, hey, girls can play a mean beat.
A line of funky fashion accessories soon followed, and like its name, the line embraced the wild, in-your-face femininity with fun and colourful designs. As the same group of girls grew up, so did the line; the accessories became more mature and sophisticated but the designs never forgot the roots of celebrating girl power. The strong female attitude knew no boundaries of course, and translated the successful line to international proportions, its accessories stemming from Toronto to New York.
